Cameron McConville has stolen a last-gasp win from Rick Kelly in the seventh round of the Australian V8 Supercar series held at Victoria's Winton Motor Raceway.

Cameron McConville has stolen a last-gasp win from Rick Kelly in the seventh round of the Australian V8 Supercar series held at Victoria's Winton Motor Raceway.

After Greg Murphy and Russell Ingall had fought for the lead for 20 laps, they both spun, causing the safety-car to emerge, bunching the field for a last-minute sprint to the chequered flag.

McConville was held up behind Kelly for some time, then passing him with only seconds remaining in the race.

However, there may be more to this, as Kelly complained that McConville had passed him under a cautionary (yellow) flag.

Cam claimed that he was past the flag before he saw it, and race stewards agreed, handing the young driver his first ever solo V8 Supercar victory.
