Steve Johnson and Will Davison have shown good form during the Falken Tasmania Challenge to claim another healthy swag of points to increase their championship standing.
Johnson finished eighth overall after placing in the top ten for all three races across the weekend.
“It has been a little difficult for us to find the best balance for the car this weekend, but the car felt much better during the last race,” said Johnson.
“I just chipped away each race and was rewarded with an 8th place so it's a great feeling to be consistently circulating within the Top 10 again.
“We're really not that far away from the frontrunners and we still have a shot at having both cars placed in the Top 10 for the championship and a Top 5 in the Teams championship so if we can achieve this at the last round then that would be fantastic.
“I've got nothing to lose so it's not over yet!” Johnson said.
Davison was eleventh in the team's second car, after a difficult third race saw him hold on to tenth in the championship.
“This round has been tough for me but it could have been a whole lot worse”, said Davison.
“The set up of the car has been difficult to perfect for the entire weekend so I had to battle through this but considering the car is straight and I still managed to get a reasonable amount of points, it's not all bad.
“There were a few issues in the last race where I lost quite a bit of time; both in the pits and on the track and while this is unfortunate, my focus now needs to be on the last round and to get as many points as possible.
“There is a group of us in the championship within several points of each other going into Phillip Island so it should be pretty exciting racing.”
Jim Beam Racing has performed strongly since Bathurst, where Johnson and Davison drove to third place in the classic race.
With one round remaining in a fortnight, both drivers will be hoping that Phillip Island allows them to continue this form into the 2008 championship.
