“We were beaten by a better guy on the day but we have come a long way this year and next year will be another great challenge.”

In what was the closest championship finish of the V8 Supercar formula, many changes are set to arise in the off-season for various teams and drivers.

Despite the forthcoming upheaval that every silly-season brings, the stage is set for a spectacular 2008 championship, with new races in Townsville and Hamilton, the tenth anniversary of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide, and a blossoming rivalry between two of the greatest V8 Supercar teams of the modern era.
