Jack Daniels Racing man set for karting action.

Having been forced to stand down from his V8 Supercar drive due to diabetes, Jack Perkins will make his return to the race track as he takes part in the VACC Four Hour Karting Enduro at Port Melbourne this weekend.

Perkins will pair up with V8 team-mate Shane Price in the karting event, with the duo joined at the event by fellow V8 stars Jason Richards (who will race alongside Tasman Motorsport engineer Adam DeBorre) and Alan Gurr along with recently crowned Fujitsu V8 Series Champion Tony D'Alberto and the winner of the 2007 Mike Kable Young Gun Award Dale Wood, who will share the driving duties with his brother Glen.

A total of 40 teams will be competing in the event aboard 125cc powered karts reaching speeds in excess of 100 km/h.
