In his retirement year of V8 Supercar racing, John Bowe signed a one-off deal with Paul Cruickshank's Glenfords Racing operation, to fast track the team's development in their second season.

The 1995 Australian Touring Car Champion finished thirtieth in the championship, but as the oldest V8 driver in the series' youngest team, impressive results were not expected.

Rather, Bowe's invaluable experience contributed to the further development of the team. Driving the #111 Glenfords Falcon, he had a best finish of twelfth and retired from the championship as one of the highest regarded and best admired faces in the paddock.
