“Germany is not my favourite rally, but I feel quite comfortable on asphalt. I know that we have the potential for a strong result and we’ve also got a very good set-up for our C2 Super 1600,” said Prokop, who threw away the chance to win in Finland after an off on day two.
“Our aim is for a solid performance but there are many grip changes and very specific things about this rally that mean you have to approach it with caution. There will also be some very strong rivals in Germany, such as
Urmo Aava who is very quick on asphalt. Let’s see what happens!”
In total 19 JRC crews will take in this event including all the front runners – except P-G.
Andrea Cortinovis and Vilius Rozukas opted not to nominate this event to score Junior points.

Biggest entry of season.
Around 106 crews are due to start the Rallye Deutschland, the biggest entry to date this year for a single WRC event – beating the recent Rally Finland by four.
In total 24 drivers will take part in World Rally Cars and in addition to the usual suspects with the works teams,
Toni Gardemeister will be back behind the wheel of an Astra Racing-PH Sport-run
Citroen Xsara WRC, the same team he competed with last year.
Ramsport will enter two Ford Focus RS WRC cars - for Guy Wilks and Andreas Mikkelsen, while Skoda will be represented by four privateers in Fabia WRC’s, namely regular Jan Kopecky as well as Erik Wevers, Rene Kuipers and Harry Hissink.
Kopecky is very keen to do well as it is the closest thing he gets to a home event in the WRC: “In the WRC, Rally Deutschland is the like a home rally not only from the perspective of the Czech fans and crews, but especially for Škoda Auto, a.s., with the support of which I start on the event. Of course I do not lack motivation at any of the rallies, but especially in Germany I'd like to succeed,” confirmed the Czech Rally Team-Kopecky driver.
