Per-Gunnar Andersson will step up to the 'senior' level with
Suzuki next year, following confirmation that he will get to drive the SX4 World Rally Car.
Crash.net Radio caught up with the double Junior champion to chat about that - and get his thoughts ahead of his graduation to the pinnacle of the sport...
Crash.net:
P-G, you must be very pleased to be able to finally step up to the 'senior' level in the WRC?
Per-Gunnar Andersson:
It is a great opportunity and it is a big dream that has come true for me. We have been planning this for many years now, but the way the world championship has gone, it has been more and more negative [and harder and harder to switch to a WRC car]. But the last few months have been good and I am really happy to step forward with Suzuki in the WRC team.
Crash.net:
How big a challenge do you think it is going to be competing with a WRC car?
P-GA:
It is not going to be easy but I think I will manage to get some good results by the end of the year. Of course we have a lot of work to do to develop the car - however, it will be really good to be with the team from the start and to see the progress.

What are your targets in 2008?
P-GA:
The main goal is to score some points through the year and get some results with the car. For me as a driver I want to see how I cope with it too.
Crash.net:
Is there much testing planned prior to the season opening, Rallye Monte Carlo?
P-GA:
I will do three or four days before Rallye Monte Carlo.
