Preview: Rally Mexico.

Preview for the Corona Rally Mexico - the third round in the 2008 FIA World Rally Championship.

Marcus Gronholm meanwhile took the runners-up spot, 55.8 secs back and while the Finn definitely showed he had the pace to take the win, sadly for him, problems on day one meant he was not in a position to challenge Loeb.

Mikko Hirvonen completed the podium, followed by Daniel Sordo, Chris Atkinson and Manfred Stohl. Jari-Matti Latvala and Matthew Wilson rounded out the points finishers in seventh and eighth, with Henning Solberg in P9 and Mark Higgins - the PWRC winner - in P10.

There was only one major retirement, namely Petter, who went out on day 1 while leading. Luis-Perez Companc also had problems - damaging the suspension on the very first stage - but he was still classified in his Munchi’s Ford, finishing 19th under the SupeRally format.
