'Coyote' will be joined at the Leon-based event by
Henning Solberg, who will switch to running under the Munchi's banner and who becomes the very first non-Argentine driver to be nominated by the squad.
Mexico will be a step into the unknown in more ways than one for Villagra, as not only has he never done the North American round before, but this will also be his first with the 07 spec Focus and his first on Pirelli tyres and without mouse inserts.
Villarga, who will also be going for his third successive title in the Argentine Rally Championship this year, is however looking forward to the challenge.
He is also hoping that he can profit from Henning's know-how, as the Norwegian is a veteran of 50 plus starts in the WRC.
"I know this is a difficult rally which can be very hard on the drivers and maybe even harder for me being my first time here. It will be great to have Henning in the team, he has experience of this event and has done well in the past so I will take all the information I can from him," said Federico.
"This will also be my first time behind the wheel of a Focus WRC07 and I can’t wait to drive it. It has had a lot of success over the last year and I think it will be a great experience having the opportunity to drive it. I did a lot of rallies last year in both the WRC and at home in Argentina so I think this will help with my challenge this year and with the feeling in the car."
Henning meanwhile, who will put in a 'guest' appearance in the other car, is targeting a top-three finish after the disappointment of missing out on a podium in Sweden when he went off the road on day 2.
"I’m looking forward to this rally and getting back onto gravel. I have a very good feeling now after Sweden because we were very quick there," he added. "I think I can do quite well here in Mexico and I will be aiming for the top-three because I have a very good road position on Friday and if it doesn’t rain it will help me a lot.
