"I feel very confident," he added. "The Peugeot 307 WRC runs perfectly on gravel. The clutch incident on the last special stage in Argentina is gone and forgotten. We'll be on the hunt for a further special stage best-time to underline our strength on gravel."
OMV Peugeot team manager, Jacky Bozian meanwhile added that Stohl and Henning have exceeded their expectations to date: "We are ahead of schedule [in terms of points scored]. Manfred Stohl has already scored 18 points and
Henning Solberg has scored 13 points. We have a cut of 7.75 manufacturer points per run - which means that we are within striking distance to the M1-teams, a fact that surpasses our expectations by far."
Stobart VK Ford:

Matthew Wilson, car #9 and Kosti Katajamaki, car #10]
The Stobart VK M-Sport Ford Rally team will be boosted by 33 per cent on the Rally d’Italia Sardegna, when Matthew Wilson and Luiz-Perez Companc are joined by Kosti Katajamaki.
Katajamaki, who drove with the team in February on the Uddeholm Swedish Rally, will be nominated to score manufacturers’ points along with Wilson Jr, while Companc will drive the ‘third car’.
"It seems like a long time since the Swedish Rally," said Katajamaki, who finished sixth on that event. "It will be my third time in Rally Sardinia but the stages this year are totally different. I've been busy doing work for my sponsors and some driving in a Group N car which is very different from the Focus. I'm very happy to be driving in Sardinia and I'll be driving as fast as possible."
Wilson Jr. meanwhile has never been to Sardinia before, but he has been boosted following his form in Argentina, when he finished eighth to become the youngest-ever WRC driver points' scorer and took his first ever WRC stage win - again the youngster driver to ever manage the feat.
