Manfred Stohl finished fifth in Germany and was extremely happy with the result. The Austrian’s attention now shift to Finland though: "I'm looking forward to the many jumps in Finland," said the Austrian following the Rallye Deutschland. "You can't compare this to any other rally. Of course, the Scandinavians are the favourites there. But I will give my best to score once again."
Henning Solberg who missed last weekend’s round in Germany, as it was not one of his scheduled events, is determined to do well and has set his sights on a top five finish.
"The first half of the season went by rather fast. Unfortunately we didn’t have luck on our side several times. But I still am not unhappy and I am definitely looking forward to racing again," he noted. "I’m didn’t do the OMV ADAC Rallye Deutschland that is why I am even more motivated for the Neste Oil Rally Finland.
"I am very confident for it. I was extremely fast last year and posted three third special stage times on the last day - only just behind
Petter Solberg and
Mikko Hirvonen, who fought for third place. This year the Peugeot 307 WRC and Bozian Racing make up a perfect package. That’s why I absolutely want to reach a place among the top five."

Matthew Wilson, who finished twelfth overall on the Rallye Deutschland last weekend, is looking forward to getting back onto gravel. Furthermore while he reckons Rally Finland will suit his driving style he doesn’t plan to do anything rash. Indeed he knows it will be difficult to get a decent outright result as the Scandinavians usually excel here and lock-out the top places on the leaderboard.
