A driver familiar with going up against the world's top drivers, Al Qassimi is also experienced at tackling the tough special stages of Cyprus, thanks to the annual Troodos Rally.

Cyprus has a unique role in international sport, forging a link between the FIA World and Middle East Rally Championships by hosting an official round of each.

This year's Cyprus Rally will be held on May 12-15.
