2004 and 2007 Junior champion eager to extend relationship with Suzuki.

Per-Gunnar Andersson has said that he has a 'small chance' of stepping to the 'senior' level next year with Suzuki and driving the Japanese manufacturers' all-new SX4 WRC car.

P-G, who has been apart of the Suzuki set-up for four years now, competing in the Junior Rally Championship, first with the Ignis S1600 and then with the Swift S1600, secured the Junior title for a record second time in Corsica last weekend and immediately declared that he is ready to move up.

"It's time to grow up. I don't know what I will do next year. I want to be in the WRC, but it's a tough market," he noted.

"We have a small chance in the Suzuki World Rally Car. We have to take some meetings. We will see if [Suzuki team boss, Nobuhiro] Tajima will accept my contract. I need to think carefully about what I do next, but I very much hope to extend my relationship with the Suzuki family into the future."

Suzuki meanwhile have said that a decision is likely to be made in December regarding which drivers' will be given the job of driving the new SX4 WRC on its full-time debut in the WRC next season.

A number of names have been linked to the vacant seats, including current test drivers, Nicolas Bernardi and Sebastian Lindholm, the former of course having driven the car in Corsica last weekend. Toni Gardemeister has also been mentioned, as has Francois Duval, P-G himself, and P-G's JRC team-mate, Urmo Aava.
