Freddy Loix will drive a Peugeot 207 S2000 run by the Kronos team next year as part of its new extended line-up.
Loix is also switching co-drivers, with Robin Buysmans – his regular partner on the Belgian Championship - back in the navigator's seat for the full Intercontinental Rally Challenge campaign.
The Belgian will start his programme in Portugal, making 2008 his first full season in the IRC.
"I think next year should be a very good season for us,” said Loix, who joined the series in Ypres this year, leading the event before being forced into retirement with a mechanical problem.
"I'm particularly looking forward to driving on the gravel rallies, as I didn't get the chance to drive them last year.
"I think the championship will be extremely close again, but of course I will be doing everything I can to try and win it."
Loix has already tested the Peugeot 207 S2000, finding a good feeling with it straight away.
"It's a very neutral and well-balanced car," he added. "Driving it, you know it's the sort of car that will be quick everywhere."
Loix will also contest a couple of events in Belgium with the Peugeot 207 S2000, although he will not compete on the full Belgian Championship.
