'Big guns' to thrill crowds at fifth historic show.

1979 World Rally champion Bjorn Waldegard will be one of the top names from the world rallying at Race Retro this year, the international historic motorsport show held at Stoneleigh Park.

Waldegard, who had spells with Lancia and Ford, won 16 WRC events during his career. He will be joined at the annual extravaganza, which runs from March 14-16, by a host of other stars, including Markku Alen, the winner of 19 WRC events.

BP Ford team director and M-Sport boss, Malcolm Wilson meanwhile will also attend and fly the flag for the 'Blue Oval'.

Other notable names due put in an appearance include Mark Deans, Ford of Europe's new motorsport director, two-time British Rally champion, Russell Brookes and ex-Top Gear presenter and former Ford Rally team manager, Tony Mason, who won the 1972 RAC Rally while co-driving for Roger Clark in a Ford Escort Mk1.

This will be the fifth year that the international historic motorsport show has taken place at Stoneleigh Park in Coventry.
