Gigi Galli and Toni Gardemeister join fellow works runners Dani Sordo and P-G Andersson on the sidelines.

Stobart Ford's Gigi Galli and Suzuki's Toni Gardemeister both retired in the fourth stage of the Corona Rally Mexico on Friday.

Galli, who had been running third overall, until he went into a ditch in SS3 and dropped down to ninth, had been trying to make up some of the lost time when he broke the suspension on his Focus RS WRC car in Alfaro 2.

Gardemeister also had problems and stopped in the stage. The Finn had been running well down the order though due to throttle issues on the opening loop which left him over 15 minutes off a place in the top ten.

Galli and Gardemeister join fellow works runners Dani Sordo and P-G Andersson on the sidelines - along with Citroen privateer, Conrad Rautenbach, JWRC front runner, Martin Prokop and Jan Kopecky.
