"It's a good job I've learnt a bit more about the car - because I know absolutely nothing the rally! I've never even done the recce on this event. My co-driver David [Senior] came to the test in France and that gave us a good chance to have a long chat about Argentina and what to expect - he's done it loads of times.
"A lot is going to depend on the weather for Rally Argentina. FX, my engineer, [Francois-Xavier Demaison] tells me the event has never run at this time, so we don't have benchmark conditions to work with. Some people tell me it could get really wet and cold and others are talking about it being hot. I don't know.
"It could be quite tricky running the harder Pirelli tyre [as all drivers of World Rally Cars have to] if it's cold and wet. We won't be able to get heat into them, so there won't be much grip. Not having much grip is a problem for all drivers, no matter what car they're in or what road they're on - but in the
Citroen C4 WRC, it's really tricky; you have to drive the car quite aggressively to get the most out of it, but you have to be really smooth through the corner because you don't have the traction to get you out of trouble.
"Some of this is part of the confidence equation I'm working on with the car. It's coming, though. It was a real shame that we had the problem in Mexico, we were on for a good result there - and that's just what I want in Argentina: I want to be in the points."
