Junior WRC pace-setter determined to get to the very top.

Sebastien Ogier has set his sights on getting a place in an 'official team' next year, even though he only made his debut in the World Rally Championship back in March in Mexico.

Ogier has taken the FIA Junior World Rally Championship by storm this season and the Frenchman has enjoyed a perfect start to the year, leading from start to finish in Mexico and putting in another very impressive performance last weekend in Jordan, to take his second win on the trot.

The FFSA-supported star now leads the race for the JWRC title by nine points and while he has a good early lead, he is not underestimating the competition.

"It is a pleasure for us [to win again]. We are very happy to be in this position [and leading the JWRC]," he noted.

"Patrik Sandell is a very good driver though – and for sure he will be one of my main rivals [as he was here]. Martin Prokop will be a competitor for us as well. We will see.

"To talk about next year is too early. In the next months it is important for me to have a good season.

"I hope to win the Junior World Rally Championship and then after maybe get a place in an official team."

Ogier's co-driver Julien Ingrassia meanwhile was also, unsurprisingly, very happy with the result in Jordan and the performance of their PH Sport-run Citroen C2 S1600.

"We hoped to win here, but we knew it was a difficult rally. We saw many people out there with problems. This is a really good victory for us," he added.
