"At the end of the day though, the majority of the votes went to Patrick Snijers and I am very please with the choice," he continued. "The BFGoodrich Drivers Team will represent an interesting challenge for Patrick because his intention is to try to become the first driver to win Ypres five times.

"On top of that, he is very popular in Belgium, so he is sure to be a great ambassador not only for his country but also for the BFGoodrich brand."
