Stobart trio up for Greek challenge.
Gigi Galli is looking for a change in fortune this weekend in Turkey after a disastrous outing on the Acropolis Rally two weeks ago. Galli failed to finish in Greece - retiring on all three days, and the Italian will definitely be hoping for a better run in Kemer.
Gigi has competed in Turkey twice to date and while he missed the event in 2006, he was tenth in 2004 and eighth in 2005 - having led on day one, something that was especially memorable as it was the first time he had ever topped the leader-board on a WRC event.
"I have good memories of the rally in Turkey," said Gigi. "The road conditions are generally quite good and not as rough as the last rally in Greece which I think is a welcome change for everyone.
"My confidence is high too after the last two gravel rallies. We have learnt a lot and it feels good to have set fastest stage times on both Sardinia and Greece and I know that the feeling with the car is very good now.
"The Pirelli tyres have proved they can cope with the rough conditions and my pace is getting much better; now I just need some luck on this rally."
Henning Solberg also has fond memories of Turkey and he took his very first podium finish in WRC in Kemer back in 2006.
Henning looked all but guaranteed another rostrum result two weeks ago in Greece, until a mysterious electrical problem cost him time on the final day and dropped him to eighth. The Norwegian now wants to put that disappointment behind him and he is glad to see Turkey back on the schedule.
"It's good to return to Turkey after missing it last year. I enjoy the stages, they are not as rough as in Greece but sometimes similar to GB stages and this is the type of surface that I enjoy," said Henning.
