"We know that we're ready for what's coming [in the second half of the season], the point's differences in the two championships are minimal and there will doubtless be more fights to close these gaps. I can take a break now in the knowledge that the rest of the season promises to be very exciting - and we'll soon be back in Finland for round eight."
Asked if the second half of the season might be better for him and
Citroen - especially as three of the seven events are on tarmac, Loeb added that all of the events will be important if he wants to take his fifth drivers' crown.
"We need to finish all of the rallies and not make mistakes. We need to score points everywhere," he continued. "We look at the Championship now: we win five and we are second, it proves we need to be consistent."
Citroen boss Olivier Quesnel meanwhile added that Loeb should be 'proud' to have got third place in the circumstances. He was also happy to see Dani Sordo take fourth in the sister C4 WRC, especially after two punctures slowed him on day's one and two.
"Hot temperatures, the difficulty of the stages and the intensity of the event made this a really gruelling weekend for all members of the Citroen Sport team," stated Quesnel. "Seb and Daniel [Elena] produced a perfect rally given the conditions. They gave it everything and should be proud of their third place.
"The result for Dani and Marc [Marti] is also very good. They had to fight hard to get 4th place and they succeeded. We've now reached mid-season. Seb is only three points behind in the Drivers' Championship and Citroën is nine points off the lead in the Manufacturers' table. The gaps are therefore quite small. The remainder of the season promises to be extremely exciting."
