The final round of this year's Intercontinental Rally Challenge, the China Rally, has changed its date and location to run a month later than initially planned.

The event, which is also a round of the Chinese Rally Championship, will now take place over 5-7 December in Shaowu, having originally been scheduled for 7-9 November in Longyou.

Shaowu is located in the north-west of Fujian province, in the south-eastern part of China, with the port at Fuzhou 300km away and Wuyishan international airport just 70km away, connected by good road and rail links.

The draft itinerary and regulations for the event will be published in the next few weeks. The changes do not affect China Rally's status as a points-scoring round of the IRC, which continues with the Principe de Asturias Rally tarmac event in Spain over 12-13 September, before heading to Sanremo and the Rally du Valais.
