Junior WRC contender Martin Prokop adds a Production WRC win to his CV in New Zealand.

Local driver Haydon Paddon recorded a well deserved fourth in class, just ahead of a recovering Hanninen, whose perseverance paid off with fifth place and four points. He is now just four points adrift of championship leader Aigner, who failed to finish.

Jari Ketomaa finished sixth, despite a roll, with Bernardo Sousa seventh and Stewart Taylor in eighth

Just two rounds of the championship remain, although with many choosing to pass the Japanese Rally (Aigner, Ketomaa, Sandell and Prokop won't compete), the title showdown is likely to go all the way to the Rally of Wales.
