Achievements:

2008 World Rally Championship. Will do the Rallye Monte Carlo with the Stobart Ford team, as well as the other asphalt events in Germany, Spain and France. Result: 4th on the Monte.

IRC - Rally de Portugal (Fiat Grande Punto S2000) - retired.

2007 World Rally Championship - selected events. 10th in drivers' championship. Scored 12 points. Results: retired in Greece (mechanical - First-run Skoda Fabia WRC), 2nd in Germany (OMV Kronos), 5th in Spain (OMV Kronos), retired in France (mechanical - OMV Kronos).

2006 World Rally Championship - Skoda Fabia WRC run by First Motorsport. 19th in drivers'. Scored 5 points. Results: retired on Monte; 6th in Spain, retired in France, 8th in Sardinia, 13th in Greece, retired in Germany, 9th in Turkey, 8th in GB.

2005 World Rally Championship - Citroen. Sixth overall in drivers' series. Scored 47 points. Results: Retired on the Monte (crashed out), 12th in Sweden (lost time with a puncture), retired in Mexico (hit a rock in SS8 - while running 4th, later retired with mechanical problem), 4th in NZ, 11th in Italy (rolled on SS5 while running 2nd), retired in Cyprus (crashed out), 7th in Argentina, 8th in Finland, 2nd in Germany, 2nd in GB, 4th in Japan, retired in France (accident), second in Spain, won in Australia.

Dropped for Turkey and Greece after a bust up with his co-driver, Stephane Prevot. Sven Smeets took over from Argentina.

2004 World Rally Championship - Ford (Focus RS). Sixth overall in drivers' series. Scored 53 points. Results: Third on the Monte Carlo Rally; withdrawn from the Swedish Rally after the final stage [not nominated for Manufacturer points], second in Mexico, 18th in NZ, retired in Cyprus, fourth in Greece, fifth in Turkey, third in Argentina, seventh in Finland [not nominated for Manufacturer points], second in Germany, retired in Japan, fifth in GB, fifth in Italy, retired in France, retired in Spain, third in Australia.

2003 World Rally Championship - full programme with Ford Rallye Sport (Focus RS WRC). Joint eighth overall in drivers' championship. Scored 30 points. Results - seventh on the Monte Carlo Rally, retired in Sweden, third in Turkey, ninth in NZ, eighth in Argentina, retired in Greece, retired in Cyprus, seventh in Germany, retired in Finland, tenth in Australia, fifth in Italy, third in France, fourth in Spain and fifth in GB.

Split with co-driver Jean-Marc Fortin following the Swedish Rally.

2002 Junior World Rally Championship in a Ford Puma Super 1600. Sixth in the Junior series. Won the 'Junior' Monte Carlo Rally.
World Rally Championship - took part in five rounds in a Focus RS WRC and led in Cyprus on opening morning. Best result - 10th on the Swedish Rally.

2001 Contested 17 rallies in all.
World Rally Championship - made WRC debut in Portugal in a Mitsubishi Lancer, also raced in Cyprus and Australia, where he finished 19th overall and third in the Group N category.
Took part in the FIA Super 1600 series at six world rallies. Best result - second in the category on Italy's Sanremo Rally.
Raced a Ford Rallye Sport-prepared Puma at events in Belgium and the UK, powering his way to a clear and convincing victory on the Rally of Kent.

2000 Entered the Belgian Rally Championship - finishing third overall.
Joined the Mitsubishi Marlboro Junior Team, driving a Group N Lancer rally car on three events - Luxembourg, Ypres and Condroz.

1999 Made his rally debut in Belgium's Citroen Saxo challenge, claiming a podium position on his first outing. Went on to win four events and finish second in the championship.

1998 Won the Belgian Championship for large-engined quads for the second year running.

1997 Won the Belgian Championship for large-engined quads.

1995 Won the Belgian Championship for small-capacity quads.

1990-94 Karting.

1986 Began quad-bike racing with a 50cc machine.
