Biaggi, Vallelunga WSBK 2007

Biaggi romps home in explosive race one.

The gloves were off for race one of round twelve of the Corona Extra World Superbike Championship at Vallelunga in Italy. The man to survive the aggressive first lap and claim the victory was local rider Max Biaggi on the Alstare Corona Extra Suzuki.

By now Biaggi was 7.399secs clear of second place man Bayliss. With two laps to go Toseland made his move on Haga who promptly took his place back. Toseland wasn't settling for fourth and muscled his way in front of Haga leading with his left elbow as he dropped into the turn. There was nothing Haga could do at this point and he found himself 0.1secs behind Toseland over the line.

Toseland now has 391 points compared to Biaggi and Haga who are on 347 points.
