As some of you may know I am helping Josh in the GSX-R cup, just giving him some tips and helping him as much as I can. He'd never been to
Silverstone but we sat down and watched last years races on the box. I gave him some tips and answered questions, but I told him one of the best ways to pick up some tips was to follow one of the local guys who race in the Superstock in British Superbikes on track and see what they are doing. You can't beat a bit of local knowledge and I think that helped him quite a lot in the race.
To be honest the short Silverstone circuit is a bit stop-start. Before the last chicane was the only major stop but now you go through turn one and have to stop for turn two which is a hairpin, then we accelerate through the back straight and come to another dead stop hairpin and then we come to the last chicane so it's a bit point and shoot!
Anyway its done now, and again I've managed to increase my championship lead. We now head back to Italy for Misano after a bit of a break which will be real nice. Misano is a good track, some second gear hairpins but nothing as slow as it was this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it.
