Martin’s landed: Everything’s coming together.

Recently described by his team boss, Carl Fogarty, as one of the top six Superbike riders in the world, Steve Martin rounds off 2005 with his final exclusive Crash.net column.

Back in Adelaide I still had a promise which I had made at the start of the year to fulfil and that was to turn my mum’s front yard from a pile of dirt into a garden. I thought I was being clever getting it done before the Qatar test as it meant that my role was purely supervisory (due to not being able to do any strenuous exercise or heavy lifting.) So I had Sandi on the shovel doing the manual labour whilst I gave instructions. But that seems to have back-fired as she did such a great job with the design that I have now been roped in to do my mum’s neighbour’s front yard! It’s now eight weeks since the surgery so you can guess who I am getting my orders from!

Well I just want to sign off by saying to everybody have a Merry Christmas a Happy New Year.
