Corser: I could have gone under 1:32.

Australian on pole, but still chasing best set-up for cold Phillip Island.

 4 people disagree.

pole dont mean a thing in corser's case, check last race in Doha, more like dohnut

Corser has won more poles than any other rider....race time is a different story.

Of course he could have gone under 1:32, but hell, he could have gone under 1:30, but it doesn't matter he didn't.

i bet that no matter how far up or down the grip corser is he's still going to have a c.r.a.p. season (again)... might have the odd good result but over a season distance, no chance!. he isn't going to crash or have engine trubb's, i just dont think it matters any more to him, the fire is out! there's not a good season left in corser...

3 people agree.  5 people disagree.

Corser says he can do a lot of things, Sure he can still put a few good laps, but when it comes to the race its another thing, He appears to have lost the fighting spirit, just look at the way he aways comes of the looser when the rough stuff starts, maybe he should join bayliss in retirement, at least bayliss knows when he is past it

The problem with Corser is not the talent, the guy is probably one of the more gifted around at feeling what the bike is doing, and is a master in setting a few fast laps, but to win races one need some more and that is fighting spirit and the ability to ride even if you know that the fork is one or two "clicks" away from being perfect. When Corser say he almost crash its not so obvious, while it was quite obvious that Bayliss went off the track but still pushed for the win. Corser might have a race win here and there inn him but not a title!

As far as Bayliss being past it, he may be 38 but you can't say he's not still the man to beat and there's not many that try anyhere near as hard as him or are as fast. As far as Corser goes, I agree that he's both talented and quick but I think he lacks the aggression that people like Bayliss and Haga have that means they consistently win races it's the win it or bin it attitude!

Why all the bitchyness ladies? Corser has been front runner for years, won two titles on two different bikes, been a real contender on a third and kept "the fire" in spite of the wasted years at Foggy/Petronas. He may not be a "bin it or win it" merchant like Zaus or Haga.. how may titles have those two netted... but Corser is real title contender and deserves a bit more respect.
