Biaggi to withdraw?

Biaggi to withdraw?

The Roman, who broke his left wrist in a huge turn one accident at Phillip Island on March 2, has been working flat out to try and be fit for this weekend's event - and was a reasonable twelfth in morning practice, but had slipped to 24th by the end of first qualifying.

What a huge disappoinment for Biaggi?...

At least he should try to ride and win some points whatever he has!...

But anyway his health is important and I hope to see him as recovered soon fairly.

4 DNF's in a row that makes a quick end to Biaggi's 08 season. All he can hope for is to come back healthy and ride for as many wins and podiums he can get. His championship run is over! Seeing as how he was Bayliss's only real competition, Troy is almost certain to win the title.

Max will do much better next year when hes on the Factory Xerox Ducati Team with Ruben.

Biaggi taking no points will help the Ducatis not get the weight penalties which helps Bayliss & Xaus (don't write him off too soon either).
The Suzukis are better than last year so Nieto & Neukirchener are in with a shout, Yukio will be a spolier pulling some podiums too (if he'll stop crashing).

But I reckon the biggest threat to Bayliss is Checa., with Kiyo making a big difference from mid-season.

Massively sorry for Biaggi. He would be wise to sit-out this weekend. He's unlikley to win the championship now. Better to R&R, let his wrist heal properly, look forward to taking some wins once he's OK. Then if Troy B has a spot of trouble too, well maybe Max can be in the running - if

Hedgeholer.....I agree with you Checa could be Troys main worry, its just that Checas rep for binning it will not help him.
Max was so lucky it was just his wrist, sitting it out for this one and coming back at the next meet is a wise move....you never know I have seen Troy throw away a WT before and there are still so many races to catch up

yamaha r1, I don't think Bayliss "has a grin" about Biaggi, Bayliss is not a MotoGP pirmadona.

Looks like you made the accurate call chu chu.

Hope for Biaggi's sake the handful of points he might hope to pickup doesn't cost him too much longer term.

He's professional & he's tough, but I'm not sure he's not sometimes *too* confident in his admittedly enormous ability. He doesn't even need to lob it, simply loading his wrist too much can delay recovery and cost more points than he gains now.
