Zemke can't make Monza.

Sort Comments:

Zemke can't make Monza.

Rolfo broke his left collarbone during a mountain bike accident last weekend and was expected to be replaced by Italian veteran Giovanni Bussei.

There are several riders availible even now in paddock. Steve Martin is still active, and for example Chilli or James Witham will be stil capable of some fine stuff.. But this is piece of nostagia.. We will see.

Are you serious?? You just named three riders that have RETIRED. Hell, with your wishful thinking, maybe they can contact Aaron Slight, or even Tady Okada....I am sure they are still active

I am surprised that they didn't contact any of the BSB riders. I am sure Leon wouldn't mind riding in a WSBK round. Hodgson or even Josh Hayes would be excellent as well.

BSB riders couldn't do it as Brands has been rescheduled for this weekend and guess hodgson would be in same boat as zemke in terms of getting to monza in time.

Probably be some 'also-ran' from the italian championship

Well as I said... Nostalgia.. But Martin is not retired yet... He will run suzuka 8hours or so... And Slight is as much active as Giovanni is. Only difference is that he is running Supermoto not on a world class.. But Okada seems too long retired even for me... Well BSB is one truly possible bunch of riders.. everyone have a fresh riding licence and certainly, there are lots of great riders.. Old or young ones..

Too bad - I'd love to see Jake mix it up with the WSBK guys. He's a courageous rider and has a great personality - a sponsor's dream.

Maybe next time.
