Noriyuki Haga survived intermittent clouds of smoke from his Yamaha R1 to overtake countryman Ryuichi Kiyonari for victory on the very last turn of a dramatic, incident packed, second race at Monza.
Formula 1 eat you heart out. What a race, even to close to call midway through the last corner. This is what you call racing. I nearly fell off my chair just watching.

It is becoming true what nori said at the start of the season that wsbk would have the best racing on two wheels
Great racing for both of the races today had me on the edge of my sofa!!
I think someone needs to have a chat with Haga as he pushed Kyo off the track to get the win, and also the random smoking bike should have maybe pulled in as it was obvious the other riders backed off. I will be surprised is there was not a protest in about the finishing line maneuver.

You can smell if it is smoke from the engine or something else. You can also trust a fellow professional that he pulls the bike in when he feels the engine is rotten or sees the temperature rise. I do not agree that they should pull the bike in just to be sure.
It was a well taken win by Haga but i can never understand why he never rides like this from the first race of the season, He always starts his season in May and spends the rest of the year catching up, That's how it was the last three seasons and that's how it is again, This is the fourth year in a row it's happenned, It's a shame really, It could of been one hell of a contest this year.

Great racing in both races! This is what I like in world superbike this year: always stunning action.

max neu is a talent that is undoubted i pointed him out when i saw him debut in cheste on the klaffi honda, beatig vermeulen amongst others. title contender in 09 no doubt.
Both races were fantastic, I was sitting at the edge of my seat, laughing to myself at the action. This is exactly what motorcycle racing is all about: Smoking bikes, rubbed fairings, and last corner heroic antics. MotoGP beware...
Thanks for some entertaining racing chaps. keep it up for those to come. (casual obs, positive, ye).
