Corser: What do I have to do!

Corser: What do I have to do!

Having seen his first R1 victory taken away by rain while leading at the Nurburgring, it was again a case of 'so close but yet so far' for Troy Corser at Misano on Sunday.

Corser confuses me: he seems like Pedrosa-- he can win if he can run away with it, but if he has to mix it up with other riders, then he ends up 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc...

TLR, because i agree with what you are saying it must be the case that if he's left along on the track then he can win, is that realy a great rider then ? he might aswell run his own race series, (Formula Corser), one man racing mmmmm, then he might have a chance.

I think this is more to do with the way the Yamaha uses its tyres, they seem to struggle on the later laps and for Corser who is one of the smoothest riders out there it becomes a big issue. On the other hand this tends to suit his teamate Haga more as he just slides the thing all over and rides around the problem, which is why I think Haga is usually ahead of Corser. If they sorted out their TC and found something better then Corser would be up there every weekend.

I think Corser uses his tyres more than Haga, he carries a lot more mid corner speed where as haga stops it, turns it late and picks it up early therefore spending more time on the "fatter" part of the tyre? Im no tyre technician but just an idea!

I beleive Corser used to opt for the soft tyre option a lot as well, particularly on Suzuki. He used to be gone in the first half of the race, just too far for people to catch him in the 2nd half.

No critisism at all, hes got wsbk titles to his name and they arent too easy to get! but maybe with the current crop of riders and teams any weaknesses that riders do have are being highlighted more.
