Jonathan Rea has scored his second consecutive World Supersport victory at Brands Hatch, although the race was marred by a despicable accident for Craig Jones.
Johnny will be gutted for his best mate. Racing had been good (if unusual) until then.

If Harms couldn't start the race after the red flag, why does Jones feature in the final standings? When Rea crashed at the chicane at Mallory last season, the race was red flagged and he didn't feature in the final results.
Before anyone starts slagging me off for saying this, I just want to wish all the best to Craig and his family. That was a hideous crash, especially when Pitt could only clip him as he went past. Bad call by the director showing him lying motionless on the track, especially when his arm started to twitch - it should've been cut to a distant shot by then.
I thought exactly the same thing. bradley smith got to restart after crashing at assen in the wet aswell.Apparently it was because he used a shortcut to get back to pits,but the only thing that maters at this moment is that jonsey recovers. Get well soon

Well said. I couldn't stop thinking about it all last night. I just hope he's battling as much to get better as he does when he's riding.

Richard, the reason he features in the results is because the race was called a result, having been red flagged at two thirds distance. The rules state that the positions will be called from the last lap that all the riders completed, at which time Jones was lying in second place. In Bradley Smith's case the race was restarted and not called a result.
As djh says, what a bittersweet victory for Johnny. He'll be gutted about losing Craig, especially after such a fantastic race. I hope it doesn't mess his mind up as he has future world champion written all over him.

Sorry to jonesy family and friends,, a wicked way to go...
Anyway at the start of the season if anyone remembers I said to watch out for Brookesy and what odds would I get for an aussie championship 1=2=3, Hate to brag but I got 250 to 1 and put a 1000 dollars on that... Its getting close and there is a few aussies up there... Dont say I didn't give you the tip
