Steve Jones (Father): A son for us to be proud of; a real character to all that knew him. His young life was taken away far too soon but we smile that he put into it what most could only hope to achieve in two lifetimes. We are completely overwhelmed to think ‘our boy' touched so many people's lives with his warmth, cheeky humour and friendship - those who are left behind will bear the pain and sorrow but our son is at peace now. We would like to extend our grateful thanks to our families, friends, the racing community and for all of the world wide messages of sympathy. A true fighter to the end, love you son, Dad xxx.
There's no rational words that can console anyone Craig has left behind, but at least they can mourn knowing how lucky they were to have had him as part of their lives.
Whether Pitt or Rea win the championship, i'm sure it'll be dedicated to Jonesy.
go on pitt win it for craig,we have lost top guy top racer and the best british rider since king carl my heart gos out to craig family.

How touching, words cannot convey the unfathomable loss that the Jones family and Craig's nearest and dearest friends are enduring.
My heartfelt and sincere condolences go out to you all, I am speechless.
Let's hope that Andrew Pitt can take the next win at Donington, there won't be a dry eye in the house!

Truly ashame that this tragedy happened. He seemed to be a rising talent and decent guy. Condolences to his family, friends and racing community. No one ever wants to see this happen but at least he was doing what made him happy while many people don't.
Godspeed Jonesy

I'm in no way ashamed, in fact I'm proud to say, that I've just sat and read these brave words written by Craigs family with tears in my eyes. There isn't anything else to say that hasn't been said already. I'll have a tear in my eye when Cal Crutchlow rolls out with Craigs helmet on on Sunday and a tear or two during Donnington WSB next month.
Thank you to Craigs family for their tributes on here to their very talented son. He is going to be missed. Donnigton is going to be strange, the buzz for seeing Bike racing but also the sadness that Craig won't be there. Bet when Cal does a lap there won't be a dry eye in the park.

Like everyone i was saddened and shocked by Craig's untimely death. The comments that have been left demonstrate what a much loved racer and person Craig was, whether it was people who new him or people who admired his racing skills. He will be missed by many people. I've attached a link from a tribute that i think summed up this wonderful man. www.bikesportnews.com/articles/article.html?id=CRAIG_JONES_A_PERSONAL_TRIBUTE_1

My girlfriend and i were at Brands Hatch on Sunday and we were devestated to witnesss what happened to Jonsey. At the Paddock Show on the Thursday i spoke to him and told him that i was sure he would win this weekend and he signed a poster for us....we hadnt met him before and we thought he was a nice, cheery, pleasent focussed young man.
As motorcyclists {but not in the cut and thrust of racing) its always wrong when we lose one of our own especially when they are 'Quality'.
Our sincere condolences go out to his family, close friends and his team.
God Bless Jonesy...a world champion in our eyes

What an amazing family & lady Craig had. He made them proud until the end, and they are showing in their words and actions exactly where Craig got it from. I think we all know he would have gone on to be a household name, reading everyones comments I know he will remain a champion in all of our hearts and minds for an eternity.
