Tom Sykes has been rewarded for his World Superbike performance at Brands Hatch with the chance to impress once again at the Donington Park round of the championship next month.
Just hope he can beat hm plant, altogether sykes has been a revelation this year, if he didnt have such rotten luck at start of season he would be abit closer to shakey, im uner no illusions that he would beat shakey this season but that gap would have been alot smaller.

3 people agree.9 people disagree.
Byrne's the man who should be there, if anybody should. But of course Tardozzi and Ducati don't want him showing Bayliss up now do they. But they'll have him next year (potentially) once Bayliss hangs up the boots !! Hypocrites. I'd stay with GSE next year if I were him and let Tardozzi go **** himself.
Featherz... it was reported that the HM plant guys ahve wsbk spec honda motors. Well one each to use... Im unsure if sykes has any extra bits on top of his usual BSB package.
Still, im sure he'll do a wikid job as he did at brands! hoping for a good showign from the whole BSB crew... Haslam, Crutchlow, Sykes, Ellison...
All you mugs that don't agree Byrne should be there . . . ? Why shouldn't he be there then ? Sykes has had his crack at the WSB boys at Brands and did an admirable job. Surely Byrne deserves a crack to prove 2003 wasn't a fluke. Never mind. He'll have the rest of his career to show his ability at WSB level in about 7 or 8 months time when WSB 2009 kicks off !! Ha Ha.
Hey Grinner and Shakey *both* deserve the opportunity.
But don't kid yourself 'Nori'. I bet one half of Shakey is burning to have a go. But the wiser half is thinking 'With this record in BSB its hard to make myself look even better still, and trying to pull that rep up riding against Bayliss, Biaggi, Xaus on either a slightly inferior or an uprated but unfamiliar feeling machine - Well it could backfire'. So the canny option really is to keep well out of it. But he won't enjoy not going.
He may have secretly been half-happy to be well out of it, and on a personal level may have been genuinely pleased to see his ex-team mate Sykes doing well, but he certainly won't have enjoyed watching Sykes taking it to the WSB regulars on a standard BSB spec Suzuki that Byrne himself has had the thorough beating of for most of this season (Oulton and Knockhill_1 excluded of course). Bet deep down he'd have felt that round his favoured Brands he could have sneaked a couple of podiums and maybe a double win seeing as Bayliss was a bit below par....
Sykes is young but still has to grow for being included in the wsbk races. He knows the circuits in UK, and much easier for him to grap a result ! Wish him all the best and hope he can finish in the top 10.
