Why is his team apologising for Xaus's behaviour? Shouldn't Xaus be the one to explain his unsporting behaviour?

Max loses the Ducati ride and then gets verbal from Xaus!
How to kick a man when he is down!
.............and grow up Ruben! - Hope BMW have plenty of money for spare parts!

How about either one of you try working your ass off for something just have it pulled away by a stupid rule. The wreck wasn't his fault by the way.

Who's fault was the wreck anyway? I thought I saw Ruben lost control and then crash? About rules, there's not much to be done about those can there? Although I do not support this rule, I would be sure to follow it. I bet Haga thinks the oil flag as a stupid rule as well Anyway, it's not right to vent upon Max the way Ruben did. It's not like he is the one to blame

5 mins to return to pits (box) does seem a bit stupid considering race tracks are large and anything can happen out there.
I saw the whole thing. I felt sorry for Xaus. He was looking so chuffed and then there was a bit of a commotion. and a raised voice and something being thrown. ( cloth I think. (We would all have been angry..) Anyway he did calm down in the end. But it took a few minutes. My video camera was full of flat batteries. typical

Totally inappropriate behavior by someone who is supposed to be a professional. Max didn't deserve the abuse as he did make the decision or rules. Xaus's team should force him to apologize to Max and officials. He should also be fined. BMW maybe thinking what did we do signing this guy. He'll probably be joining Haga in the gravel next season.

ruben is one of my favourites and biaggi one of my least so you know what il say but i wont bore you anyway, however max could at least feel lucky that he didnt suffer anything over than words. when xaus gets pissed off, this can happen - albeit a different situation..

I would have been upset too. Pulling someone off the podium is poor judgment Why did they allow him to start the second start if he was disqualified? It seems they did not know their own rules. If thy let him run the second part, let him do the podium. Then admit they made a mistake, and allow people to react after explanations.

It would have been intresting to know exactly what ruben said, but letting it out on biaggi is totally inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by Ruben. I had little respect for the man before, but now he officially have lost all credability. I feel sorry for the man that gets teamed up with him next year on the BMW.
There is no excuse for Xaus's behaviour, but the 5min rule is crazy, how come none of the riders who crashed out did not get back in time? I'm sure they would have done if they were able to do so, or did they not know about it?

Why do they need to apologise.. the **** up was all Doningtons.. cant wait till they screw up the F1, which seems to manage doing that all by themselves. I'm sure Max is a big enough man to understand where Rubens was coming from, and it was just a heated moment from a stupid situation put on them by the poor officialdom. I would hope Max and Rubens sorted the issue out behind the team truck doors without any fisticuffs.. On that note, I do hope Max gets himself a competitive ride for next year, now Ducati has appeared to settle for Nori.. I for one love to watch Max in action

Agree with Mike Hunt and realfan,I'd have been pretty pissed if I'd been Ruben and things are said in the heat of the moment that are later regretted. Race Control screwed up and the 5 minute rule is stupid.

He should have been pissed. No one saw him walk into the podium? Why did they wait until then to tell him? The 5min rule is truly stupid - it's not like they race on go kart tracks and can easily walk to the pits. And the only thing he probably said to Biaggi was that Biaggi didn't deserve 3rd but of course it is only a guess. Xuas doesn't owe anyone an apology if he meant what he said. He's a grown man and can say what he wants.

Wow... what an a**hole. In the interview he says "just one of those things that happen". I'd believe that excuse of adrenaline and being caught up in the moment, but you just don't see enough other riders act that way to back it up.
Here's an idea Ruben... in Assen next year, stop by Amsterdam, pick up a lid, smoke some, and chill out.

Xaus was well out of order letting fly at Biaggi, but how may times has such a situation occurred this year? There needs to be a clear set of rules that is logical and everyone understands as to what happens when a race is red flagged. At present, it's not clear either for the riders or spectators.

I've read that Rubens' words included 'Romano di merda' and 'Mafioso Italiano'.

How about being a paid professional and acting professional? There's other, more professional ways to get your point across other than embarrassing yourself, your team, and your sponsors. If you were a business owner sponsoring him, your business is now associated with that type of behavior. How would that make you feel? Would you rather have him blastin away acting like that on the podium, or would you rather have a calm, assertive statement to the press at the post race conference?
