Toseland is Champion!

Sort Comments:

Toseland is 2007 WSBK champion!

The race win went to Noriyuki Haga on the Yamaha Italia machine who rode a faultless race, leading from lights to flag. He lost out on the title by just two points. Toseland actually finished in sixth place but it was sufficient to clinch his second World title.

Well done JT, you got it home... just.. phew!
Good job it was your team mate behind you at the end eh?
A podium would've been nice though..

Wow, Haga came SO close.
Good for Toseland, but I would have prefered Haga to win it.

great to see Nieto on the box as well.

Absolutely thrilled to bits for James Toseland never felt so drained from a motorcycle race - WORLD CHAMPION so deserved.

Congrats also to Nori

Congratulations JT, it doesn't matter if it's 2 points or 200 you win by as long as you win!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!

P.S. Otto Au, what are you on? "Being "champion" by 2 points is no champion"
You wouldn't be bitter about being beaten by 2 points yesterday aswell would you?

P.P.S I'm Scottish (Not English) and I don't follow Rugby but that sounded like sour grapes Otto... Get used to it, he won (and won MORE RACES than anyone else) and where was the NEXT best Honda in the championship? 8th?

Being champion by one point is still champion. Unless you want to invent some new system where you get to decide who's champion Otto? Although I do agree he'll struggle on MotoGP, for the first year anyway. Hopefully he'll start getting results soon in that class. Well done James, enjoy the break then get to work with Yamaha!

shame the Aussie's can't lose as well as they win!!(Otto Au) Well done JT, if it hadn't been for some misfortune, he'd have wrapped it up weeks ago. Watch him go next year, can't wait, bring Stoner on!!!

Otto, i'm an Aussie, but Toseland won the championship, he won more races than anyone else. Get real. He was the best rider this year. How many points should he have won by?

God job done for JT, but ******* romanian moronic Biaggi has ruined Haga's world title this year, when he crashed into him in Misano....

Congrats to JT! He is a class act and deserving to be world champion. He earned it this time as opposed to 2004. Good luck in MotoGp next year!

Haga so close once again! Greatest rider to never win a title? Next year will be is year for sure!

I dont think so, brcause next year Baylis will strike with his 1200cc Ducati...and even with this year's 1000cc he is competitive, so there will be no big deal to win the title next year :/

only my opinion

kiki, see an optician for help with your poor eyesight. Take Haga with you, maybe then he'd be able to see a BIG YELLOW AND WHITE motorcycle and not run into it especially when it's in front of him as shown by the video posted on crash.net. Lastly JT won the most races, and consistently performed well, thus he is a deserving champion.

Well done JT - Deserved to be the champion due to his riding throughout the WHOLE of the season. Nori certainly ran him close and probably (I haven't checked) had the better overall set of results in the last 3 or 4 races, but over the whole season JT has just been a class act.

Sure, you can point to Nori being taken out by Biaggi and losing twenty points, but then JT lost an almost certain 25 points when his bike packed up at Donnington. And Lanzi did his best in race one to spoil the show - JT was dead last by 2.5 seconds and was lucky to stay upright.

JT deserved to win it. End of story.

A well deserved champion.Shame about leaving WSB for a satellite team in Moto GP.
Hope he fairs better than some of our other talented British riders who have tried to make the same transition.
