America's Ben Bostrom made further progress with his Renegade Koji Honda team at Monza's Corona Extra World Superbike races this weekend securing a pair of 18th place finishes as the team make further progress with their in house development of the Fireblade.

Bostrom narrowly missed out on his second Superpole this year by 0.2secs in the final qualifying session. Despite this he battled hard in the races to record two strong finishes despite being slapped with a ride through penalty after jumping the start of the second outing.

"I was hoping to do better but I just couldn't!" he said. "I was riding at my limit on every lap but this is just where we belonged this weekend. We've just got to stick with it and give it everything at Silverstone. It's disappointing after Valencia because after that the bike felt good."
