Winston Ten Kate Honda Team rider Karl Muggeridge became a father, after the birth of his son Ryan Luca Muggeridge, in Zurich.

"I am so happy. It is a fantastic sensation to become a father, but of course I will feel even better when I will see him for the first time," says Muggeridge who is this weekend in action in Qatar for the opening round of the Corona Extra Superbike World Championship.

"I wish I could have been there to support Isabelle and the baby, but this is life. I will do all I can to be the best father possible and from tomorrow I will work even harder to dedicate the next victory to Ryan. I have seen a picture of him on the PC and he is amazing. I really can't wait to hold him in my arms."
