The times are tumbling in the fine weather at Losail International Raceway in Qatar for the first round of the Alstare Corona Extra World Superbike Championship. Karl Muggeridge scuttled under the two minute barrier with an impressive 1min 59.934 secs.

The Winston Ten Kate rider has been in top form all weekend and simply blitzed the competition with a super smooth lap. Troy Bayliss was second fastest with Andrew Pitt running in third –Aussie top three again.

With Superpole still to come everything could change and current World Champion Troy Corser being the king of Superpole, it could all be blown wide open.
