The ever-popular Chris Walker was unable to reward his loyal fans with a home
Brands Hatch podium on Sunday, finishing seventh and eighth, but it wasn't for a lack of effort - or support.
"The first race was great, although I didn't finish as high as I wanted, but the second race was tough after I broke the back brake on the start line," the PSG-1 Kawasaki star told
Crash.net Radio on Sunday evening. "I just struggled from then on. I really rely on my back brake because the Kawasaki wheelies so much and I kinda had to learn to ride again for the first four or five laps.
"I started to get into a rhythm after that but it wasn't easy. I could see everyone doing what they normally do at the front and I was struggling away. To get an eighth wasn't so bad, as I was basically boxing with one glove on, but it would have been nice to get my head down and do the business."
After race two 'The Stalker' was mobbed by his wig-wearing fans, whom he was happy to entertain with a massive burn out (pictured)... after also donning a lime green wig!
"Brands if my favourite meeting of the year, without a doubt," he admitted. "The track is one of the best in the world and it's definitely one of my favourites. It's a pleasure to be here racing in front of your home crowd, there's nothing like it. I had so many cheers that if people power meant anything I'd have had a rostrum for sure!"
