The Ducati Corse World Superbike team has extended its title sponsorship with Xerox for a further two years.

The renewal comes off the back of a hugely successful 2006 season for the Ducati Xerox Team, which saw Troy Bayliss return to the championship and pick up the riders' title at the penultimate round in Italy - with Ducati then lifting the manufacturers' championship a week later in France. The factory team's striking red and white livery will now continue until at least 2008.

Paolo Ciabatti, Ducati Corse Superbike Programme Director, declared: "We are delighted to be able to continue our partnership with Xerox as it gives us the opportunity to expand and capitalise on our successful relationship. We can now look forward to our future in the World Superbike Championship with renewed vigour and in what promises to be two exciting and challenging seasons ahead. In our second year with Xerox we have won both the Riders' and Manufacturers' titles and we are sure that we will obtain further success together."

Over the past two years the Ducati Xerox Team has claimed more race victories than any other team in the World Superbike Championship, with James Toseland and Regis Laconi in 2005 and Troy Bayliss and Lorenzo Lanzi in 2006.

"Through the sponsorship, Xerox has benefited enormously from a direct association with one of the world's most stylish and iconic brands, branded TV exposure to millions of viewers, an extensive hospitality programme, technology showcases at race tracks around the world and the creation of an exciting marketing platform focused on customer engagement," said Anthony Hyde, head of brand and marketing at Xerox Europe "And in 2007, the Ducati Xerox Team can proudly display 'No. 1' on its bike again!"
