The final 2007 World Superbike championship entry list has now been released, prior to the Qatar season-opener on February 24, confirming the absence of Foggy Racing and former champion Neil Hodgson.

Both had been missing from the provisional entry list, which appeared with two ‘to be announced' riders on January 18, but have now also missed the final cut and so look certain to spend 2007 on the sidelines.

Following the conclusion of its five-year Petronas contract, Carl Fogarty's team had most recently been linked with running Hodgson - a factory Ducati AMA rider in recent seasons - on MV Agustas. But with time having all but run out, Foggy has indicated he will now turn his attention towards securing a 2008 return. Hodgson may also now intend to sit out 2007 and consider his options... a tactic that worked successfully for Max Biaggi.

The only addition since the provisional entry list is that of former 125 and 250GP rider Jakub Smrz on a Caracchi Ducati, while the previous two 'to be announced' places have been abandoned altogether - meaning that Dean Ellison and Shinichi Nakatomi are without team-mates at Pedercini Ducati and Team Yamaha YZF (formerly Yamaha France) respectively.
