Former World Supersport champion and Ten Kate Honda rider Karl Muggeridge will make his debut for Alto Evolution Honda at this weekend's 2007 Qatar season-opener - which has come a bit too soon for the Australian.

"We are going to Doha in the right frame of mind," said Muggeridge, who will ride alongside countryman Josh Brookes at the privateer team, "but the season starts so early and it's been difficult to get everything ready and developed. I ran a single bike in our recent tests, and we only had limited time because of that. But we will be giving it all we have when we got to Doha. I just wish the season started a bit later in the year."

Unfortunately for Muggeridge he will have no time after Qatar for further testing, since his home Phillip Island round will take place just one week later.
