The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda rider improved on his qualifying time with a 2min 5.765secs lap. Harms on the Stiggy Motorsport Honda was just 0.166secs off the back of Sofuoglu's time and is looking set for a battle for the podium.
The lone Yamaha on the Honda filled front row was put there by Broc Parkes on the SSP machine, he is partnered this weekend by World Supersport rookie, Jason O'Halloran who is currently second in the Australian Supersport Championship.
British rider, Craig Jones completed the front row on his Reve Ekerold Honda having topped the time sheets early in the session. Jones is keen to get his first World Supersport podium this weekend, hopefully he can carry this form through to second qualifying and the race.
In fifth place was Barry Veneman on the Pioneer Hoegee Suzuki and following him over the line was Fabien Foret on the GIL Motorsport Kawasaki. His team-mate Pere Riba was eighth with Javier Fores sandwiched between the Kawasaki pair.
