The 2006 World Supersport Champion beat the 2007 World Supersport Champion to provisional pole position at the EuroSpeedway in Germany.

Sebastien Charpentier and his team-mate Kenan Sofuoglu took first and second places respectively during first qualifying for round eleven of the World Supersport Championship. The 2006 Champ left his fast lap until the end of the session beating the 2007 Champ by 0.471secs.

The Hannspree Ten Kate Honda pair were chased home by Broc Parkes on the SSP Yamaha who secured a provisional front row start in third place. Completing the over night front row was Katsuaki Fujiwara on the Althea Honda.

Matthieu Lagrive on the Intermoto Czech Honda was in fifth place ahead of Vesa Kallio on the Pioneer Hoegee Suzuki. Britain, Tommy Hill who is partnering Parkes this weekend was in seventh. World Endurance rider, David Checa was in eighth place on the GMT 94 Yamaha.

Completing the top ten was Spanish rider Joan Lascorz and French man Sebastien Gimbert.
