World Superbikes » Hodgson's international career over?

Friday, 7th September 2007

Neil Hodgson's international career could well be over following confirmation that the 2003 World Superbike champion will return to the AMA Superbike championship for the next two seasons.

Comment on this Story
Hodgson spent two years in the AMA with Ducati following his disastrous 2004 MotoGP campaign, but was forced to spend 2007 on the sidelines after Ducati's AMA withdraw was combined with an unsuccessful search for a WSBK seat.

The 33-year-old had nonetheless been linked to a Ten Kate Honda ride, plus Carl Fogarty's planned MV Agusta WSBK team, for 2008 - but didn't want to risk a repeat of this year's unemployment and happily accepted a two-year AMA deal with Honda.
