Following a tough day on track for the Hannspree Ten Kate Honda team, Ronald Ten Kate was more than happy to discuss his team's signing for next year. They have already confirmed Jonathan Rea who will race in their Supersport effort but they have stayed tight lipped on the Superbike front - until now.
Speaking exclusively to
Crash.net Radio Ronald Ten Kate said, "I am delighted to tell you that we are bringing on Kenan to World Superbikes now. I'm delighted with that, it has taken us a bit to sort out the puzzle but he is moving on and it is just great for him. He wanted to remain with us and with Honda, so we also have a three year deal with him."
Sofuoglu made it clear when speaking to
Crash.net Radio at the
Silverstone round of the Championship that he wanted to make the step up next year. "After Monza I already decided to go Superbike. At the beginning of the year I told myself that if I win many races I will decide to go Superbike. Almost I have won every single one; I lose the Phillip Island race. I think now the time comes to step to Superbike for me and I will look for my best chance," he said.
With the Supersport World title wrapped up already he is ideally placed to continue his winning ways with his Ten Kate Honda team in the premier class.
