"My first lap fall in race one was my own fault. When we do a race start I turn off the wheelie control, using a button, but it also turns off the traction control at the same time. In the past I've done it, made the start, then once the clutch is out and I'm heading into the first corner I turn the switch back on.

"But at Vallelunga, because the straight isn't very straight - it's corner-corner-corner - and I was in a race straight away, I completely forgot to turn it back on! Normally it wouldn't have been such a big problem anyway, but the corner where I fell was first gear and it the first time the left hand side of the tyre had been used on the lap - and I suddenly got full power there for the first time all weekend.

"I was almost upright when it came around on me and threw me off. I'm disappointed in myself because it was my own mistake. It's something we can look at to improve so it does it automatically. I had a good start and had felt good all weekend so to do that wasn't ideal!

"In race two I started with the wheelie control turned on, just so I didn't have to turn it back on and make the same mistake. I got a good start, but when the front wheel lifted it cut the power and I slowed down in front of everybody I think. I got hit by Ruben and bounced off him, then bounced off somebody else, then somebody else!

"Because nobody had ridden through the cement dust, put down at the very end of the Supersport race, everybody was trying to go around the outside of the dust but some people went through it and I couldn't see a thing to be honest. It was pretty chaotic for the first few laps and then I started struggling with the rear brake.
