Troy Bayliss has had a tough year on board his Xerox Ducati. The 999 has bowed out gracefully from competition and is due to be replaced by the 1098. Bayliss was determined to make his last season on the new machine really count for something as he told motorsport commentator Jonathan Green...

Last year we did a great year and the bike was working really well but this year we have had to be a bit more finicky with the settings and sometimes just a little bit out has cost us. Whereas last year I could ride around it, there is no room for that this year. Everything has to be working right or you can kiss that race goodbye.
